Ukrainian authorities have declared the start of mass production for a new locally engineered interceptor drone to reinforce its air defences. Three initial manufacturers have started production, with an additional eleven preparing to establish assembly lines, Ukrainian military officials stated on Friday.

Advanced 'Octopus' System Proven in Battlefield Situations

These UAVs utilize a domestically developed system known as “Octopus” engineered to neutralize Iranian-made drones. This technology underwent testing in actual battle and demonstrated successful “at night, amid electronic warfare and flying low,” officials confirmed. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set an ambitious goal of manufacturing up to 1,000 defensive drones each day.
